Services: Traditional Funerals

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to share memories, express emotions and find comforting support. Whether you choose burial or cremation; whether you select a formal funeral or a more relaxed memorial service, the need for acknowledgement of the loss with family and friends is ever present. We can help you create a unique meaningful ceremony to express the genuine individually of your loved one.

We offer families a beautiful setting in which to come together to honor your loved one. But, you may certainly choose to celebrate their life in a more unique setting. No matter where you decide to gather together, such a service will make a difference in the lives of all who attend.

Every family is different, and not everyone wants the same type of funeral. Funeral practices are influenced by religious and cultural traditions, costs and personal preferences. These factors help determine whether the funeral will be elaborate or simple, public or private, religious or secular, and whether there will be a viewing or visitation and if so, whether the casket will be opened or closed and whether the remains will be buried or cremated.

The traditional funeral may include:

  • Casket
  • Transfer of the deceased to the funeral home
  • Embalming
  • Dressing, cosmetology, other care of the deceased
  • Professional support and administrative assistance
  • Use of facilities
  • Funeral service
  • Use of funeral hearse
  • Memorial book package
  • Memorial Video

The traditional service is a meaningful expression for the family and it gives friends and associates an opportunity to offer their tributes in the way of flowers or memorials to churches or organizations.

Generally, a member of the clergy or other person chosen by the family conducts a service of remembrance. We encourage the active participation of the family in helping plan this part of the service. Many times family members take part by giving a reading, singing or assisting the clergy. If the ceremony is held at a church there is no additional charge. Nor is there and additional charge for arranging and conducting fraternal service.
